MINT Lift
What Is?
MINT Lift® is a minimally invasive facial-lifting treatment that uses absorbable polydioxanone (PDO) threads with molded barbs. The threads are placed beneath the skin to temporarily reposition and support sagging facial tissue while encouraging collagen formation around the treated area.
Functions
LIFTS SAGGING FACIAL TISSUE The molded barbs grip and support tissue to create an immediate mechanical lifting effect. | DEFINES FACIAL CONTOURS Helps improve the appearance of the cheeks, lower face, jawline, and selected facial areas. | SOFTENS NASOLABIAL FOLDS MINT threads may be used to temporarily elevate mid-face tissue and improve moderate to severe nasolabial folds. | SUPPORTS COLLAGEN FORMATION The presence of absorbable PDO threads may stimulate a healing response that supports collagen formation around the treated tissue. | IMPROVES SKIN FIRMNESS May help the skin appear firmer and more supported as the treatment area heals. |
Key Benefits
Immediate Lifting Effect
Facial tissue is repositioned during the procedure, so an initial improvement may be visible right away.
Progressive Skin Support
Collagen formation may continue after treatment, supporting gradual improvement in firmness and skin quality.
Natural-Looking Facial Definition
Designed to elevate and contour selected areas without significantly adding artificial volume.
Minimally Invasive Treatment
Performed through small entry points without the large incisions associated with a surgical facelift.
Absorbable PDO Material
The threads gradually dissolve in the body, commonly within approximately six to eight months, although the visible effect and healing response vary between patients.

FAQ
How does MINT Lift® work?
A trained physician places the threads beneath the skin along planned lifting vectors. The barbs anchor into the tissue and reposition it, creating immediate support. The treatment may also encourage collagen formation during healing.
When will I see results?
An initial lifting effect may be noticeable immediately. The final appearance becomes clearer as temporary swelling, bruising, or dimpling settles.
How long do the results last?
Results vary according to skin condition, age, degree of laxity, treatment area, thread type, technique, and lifestyle. The threads typically dissolve within several months, but collagen-related support may remain after the material has been absorbed.
Is the procedure painful?
Local anesthesia is generally used. Patients may still experience pressure, pulling, tenderness, or mild discomfort during and after treatment.
Is there downtime?
Some downtime should be expected. Temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness, tightness, asymmetry, or skin dimpling may occur. Recovery differs for each patient.
What areas can MINT Lift® treat?
Depending on the thread model, local regulatory indications, and physician’s assessment, treatment may focus on the cheeks, mid-face, nasolabial folds, lower face, jawline, brows, or other selected facial areas.
Who is a suitable candidate?
It may be appropriate for adults with mild to moderate facial laxity who want subtle lifting without surgery. It may not provide adequate correction for severe laxity or significant excess skin.
How many threads are needed?
The number depends on facial anatomy, treatment area, degree of laxity, thread design, and desired outcome. The physician determines this after assessment.
Can MINT Lift® be combined with other treatments?
It may be included in a customized aesthetic plan, but the physician must determine the appropriate timing when combining it with fillers, energy-based treatments, injectables, or other procedures.
Can the threads be removed?
PDO threads are intended to dissolve naturally. Removal may be considered if a complication occurs, but it can be difficult after tissue has begun healing around the thread.
What are the possible risks?
Possible complications include bruising, swelling, pain, asymmetry, puckering or dimpling, contour irregularity, infection, visible or palpable threads, thread migration, extrusion, nerve injury, and vascular injury.
Is MINT Lift® FDA-approved?
In the United States, MINT devices have received FDA 510(k) clearances for specific suture and tissue-fixation indications. “FDA-cleared” is the more accurate wording than broadly calling every cosmetic use “FDA-approved.”
Is MINT Lift® safe?
It has established regulatory clearances for specific indications, but safety depends heavily on patient selection, facial-anatomy knowledge, sterile technique, thread placement, and practitioner experience. It must be performed by a qualified and appropriately trained physician.
