PROFHILO® is an injectable skin-remodelling treatment made with highly concentrated, ultra-pure hyaluronic acid in high- and low-molecular-weight forms. It is designed to spread within the tissue to improve skin hydration, firmness, elasticity, and the appearance of skin laxity rather than primarily adding facial volume like a traditional dermal filler.

How Does PROFHILO® Work?

It is injected at selected points, where its fluid formulation spreads through the tissue. It provides hydration and supports biological processes involved in skin remodelling, collagen, and elastin production.

PROFHILO® is not primarily used like a traditional volumising filler. Its main purpose is to improve hydration, elasticity, firmness, and overall skin quality rather than sculpting or significantly enlarging facial features.

Some patients may notice improved hydration and radiance within the first few weeks. Improvements in firmness, texture, and elasticity usually develop progressively after completing the recommended treatment course.

The duration varies depending on age, skin condition, lifestyle, treatment area, and individual response. Maintenance treatments may be recommended by the attending doctor.

A treatment course commonly involves more than one session, often spaced several weeks apart. The appropriate schedule must be determined after medical assessment.

Patients may experience brief pinching, stinging, or pressure during injection. Topical numbing or other comfort measures may be used according to clinic protocol.

Downtime is usually limited. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, or small raised bumps may appear at the injection points and generally settle within several days.

Depending on the product, local regulatory indications, and doctor’s assessment, treatment areas may include the face, neck, décolletage, and selected areas of the body affected by reduced hydration or skin laxity.

It may be considered for adults experiencing dehydration, dullness, fine lines, reduced elasticity, or mild skin laxity who want subtle improvement without substantial added volume.

Because it is hyaluronic-acid-based, a doctor may consider hyaluronidase when clinically appropriate. However, treatment response and reversibility can vary, and complete or immediate correction is not guaranteed.

Possible reactions include redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, infection, inflammation, nodules, and rare but serious vascular complications associated with injectable procedures.
